Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: October 2026 · Compliant with: Australian Consumer Law (Sch 2, Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth))
1. Your Rights Under the Australian Consumer Law
Quies Pro is a digital subscription service. Under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)), our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded.
If Quies Pro has a problem, you are entitled to a remedy — depending on whether the problem is "major" or "minor":
- Major failure (e.g. the service is substantially unfit for purpose, can't be easily fixed, or is significantly different from what was described): you can choose to cancel and get a refund, or keep the service and ask for compensation for the drop in value.
- Minor failure: we will fix the problem within a reasonable time at no cost. If we don't, you may then cancel and get a refund.
These rights apply on top of (not instead of) anything described in our Terms of Service.
2. Free Trial (Annual Plan)
2A. Complimentary Founder Access
In plain English: a lifetime Founder gift costs nothing and does not renew into a paid plan. There is no subscription payment to refund for the gift. If you also have a separate paid subscription, its cancellation and refund rights remain unchanged. An ending notice for a time-limited gift does not authorise payment or change your refund rights.
Nothing here excludes any applicable rights under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)), including consumer guarantees and remedies under ss 60–63 and 267–269.
3. Cancelling Your Subscription
In plain English: cancelling takes three taps and about ten seconds. You keep everything you have already paid for until your end date, your card is never charged again, and none of your data is deleted. Change your mind? Tap Resume before that date.
You can cancel your Quies Pro subscription at any time:
- In-app: Profile → Manage Subscription.
- By email: support@quies.dev (we will action within 2 business days).
Cancellation stops the next renewal (we ask Stripe not to renew; we never charge you for time after your end date). You keep access to Quies Pro features until the end of your current billing period (the end of your paid year). After that, your account reverts to the free tier — your data is preserved.
3A. Cancelling vs Deleting Your Account
These are two different things, and it is worth knowing which one you want:
- Cancel your subscription — payments stop, you keep access until your end date, and your account and all your history stay exactly as they are. You can come back any time.
- Delete your account — everything is erased immediately and your sign-in is removed. Any paid subscription is cancelled at the same moment so your card is never charged again. This cannot be undone.
Deleting your account does not automatically refund the period you have already paid for. If you think you are owed a refund, ask us first (see below) and then delete once it is sorted, because we cannot restore a deleted account. You can download a copy of your data before you go from Profile → Export my data.
Legal note: deleting your account does not waive, and we do not treat it as waiving, any right you have to a remedy under the consumer guarantees in the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)). Where there is a major failure within the meaning of s 268, you may terminate and seek a refund under ss 267(3) and 269; where the failure is not major, we may choose to remedy it within a reasonable time under s 267(2). We do not make representations that deletion or cancellation extinguishes those rights, consistent with s 18 (misleading or deceptive conduct) and s 29(1)(m) (false or misleading representations about a consumer's rights or remedies), and with ACCC guidance on subscription cancellation.
4. 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee (Both Annual Plans)
Quies Pro (A$99/year): 7-day free trial. If you cancel within 30 days of your first paid charge, you get a full refund.
Founding Member (A$59/year): no free trial. If you cancel within 30 days of payment, you get a full refund. A refunded Founder spot is released to someone else.
To ask, email support@quies.dev. Refunds go back to the original card. This guarantee is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
After 30 days, refunds are not provided for the unused portion of an annual plan as a matter of policy — but the Australian Consumer Law guarantees in Section 1 still apply. If we have failed to provide the service with due care and skill, you are entitled to a remedy regardless of how long you've held the subscription.
5. How to Request a Refund
Email support@quies.dev with:
- The email address on your Quies account;
- The Stripe receipt or transaction ID (from your inbox);
- A brief description of the issue.
We respond within 5 business days. Approved refunds are processed via Stripe to your original payment method and typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days.
6. Chargebacks
6a. Account Suspension or Ban — Pro-Rata Refund
If we suspend or ban your Quies account for breach of our Terms of Service, we will:
- Send written notice to your registered email address explaining the action and the reason;
- Automatically issue a pro-rata refund of any unused portion of your current paid billing period via Stripe to your original payment method;
- Allow you 14 days from the date of the notice to dispute the decision by emailing support@quies.dev.
This commitment reflects our obligations under the Australian Consumer Law to act reasonably and not engage in unconscionable conduct. Nothing on this page limits any non-excludable consumer guarantee.
7. Currency, GST & Tax Invoices
7A. Connected Devices (Oura Ring)
8. Subscription Auto-Renewal
9. Escalation: Office of Fair Trading / ACCC
If we cannot resolve your refund request to your satisfaction, you may escalate to:
- Your state or territory consumer affairs / fair trading office (e.g. Consumer Affairs Victoria — consumer.vic.gov.au).
- The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) at accc.gov.au.
The ACCC does not resolve individual disputes but uses reports to inform enforcement.
